HOMEDEM DCs presented at the 34th Alzheimer Europe Conference

In October 2024, four of our HOMEDEM doctoral network took part in the 34th Alzheimer Europe Conference in Geneva, Switzerland. This year’s theme, “New horizons – Innovating for dementia,” brought together experts, academics, and members of the public to explore the latest research in dementia care and innovation. We’re proud to share how our doctoral candidates contributed their findings, each focused on improving the lives of people with dementia and their caregivers.

Why This Matters

Each of these projects reflects our commitment at HOMEDEM to contribute meaningful research that directly impacts the lives of people living with dementia and their caregivers. By addressing various aspects of life with dementia—relationships, home environments, autonomy, and nighttime care—our researchers are helping to build a future where people with dementia can live with dignity and support.

Looking Ahead

We are excited to continue our work in dementia research and grateful to Alzheimer Europe for providing a platform to share our insights. We look forward to more opportunities to collaborate with the dementia community and advocate for inclusive and compassionate approaches to care.
